I saw a small shooting star due west/slightly southwest just below the moon seconds before seeing the giant fireball towards the south. Iv followed every meteor shower for years and have observed hundreds of shooting stars. I can confidently say that the magnificence and impressiveness of this fireball is one I have only seen a handful of times
