This 'fireball' was following the ecliptic pretty closely from about the location if the moon to almost the horizon. It started out as white and as it increased in brightness, turned rather blue and then faded out. I didn't hear anything or see any smoke trail, fragmentation or explosion. It's the brightest meteor that I've ever seen I"m almost 69 years of age & I do some astrophography with an 8" Newtonian reflector.
