The event was very large; not closer to the ground but more as if it was closer than far out in the atmosphere. As detailed, the streak/tail was very wide when the event started and was maybe 1/3 to 1/4 the size after the bright flash halfway through the event. I was astounded by the width of this event, much larger and closer than other meteorites (“shooting stars”) I have seen in the past. Where I saw it there was some light pollution and the event was brighter than the moon
